Project: Spot repair press design
Description: Structured Design has developed a repair press for local repairs of damaged conveyer belt. To minimise mass of the press which is essential as these are man-handled into position, often at great heights, a thorough structural optimisation was performed using Finite Element (FE) analysis techniques. This resulted in an optimum value solution combining minimum weight and reasonable manufacturing cost.
